Issue 582: What counts as an instance of E79 Part Addition?
In the 52nd CIDOC CRM & 45th FRBRoo SIG meeting, upon discussing Issue 574, the SIG decided to start a new issue, where to discuss whether to add a clause in the scope note of E79 indicating that instances of Part Addition involve adding something to an object and that both added part and base object come with pre-existing identities.
Should be done in a separate issue -independently of ISO issues.

Dear all,
Issue 582 proposes editing the scope note of E79 to reflect the decisions made as part of Issue 574. I have prepared homework for this for circulation in advance of the next SIG meeting; please find it here.
In short, I suggest the addition of one sentence and the removal of one sentence to meet the goals of Issue 582.

In the 53rd CIDOC CRM & 46th FRBRoo SIG meeting, the SIG reviwed the scope note of E79 Part Addition (HW by EC) and accepted it. The changes are implemented in CIDOC CRM v7.1.2 and 7.2.1.
